In April 1998, Doug and Sandy Reeves took ownership of the grocery store in the West Street Plaza. The grocery store opened in the spring of 1967 when the Plaza was built. Foodland is a Super-Value franchise with a full line of groceries, dairy and frozen foods, including local produce in season. The deli and bakery fill special orders for cakes, rolls, custom-cut meats and cheeses, and sanwiches, and also offers daily lunch specials. The meat department carries a wide range of fresh and frozen meat and seafood. DVD rentals, Western Union and utility bill payment are also available through the store. The store's 25 employees provide friendly service every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sundays to 8 p.m.).
